Chicago's diverse economy thrives on a skilled workforce, yet a high school graduation rate of 85% doesn't translate to career readiness (U of Chicago, 2023). An XQ national survey reveals a critical gap – 93% agree that schools need to do more to equip students with the skills needed for success. This event addresses this challenge and presents a unique opportunity!
Corporations can partner with high schools to bridge this gap. By investing in student programming, companies can help build a robust talent pipeline equipped with essential 21st century skills. Together, both can empower students to secure fulfilling careers that will catalyze community impact and economic development.
We anticipate an intimate convening of 50-75 corporate leaders from various industries to share insights, and learn how to jumpstart partnerships and make investments that will generate a talent pipeline for tomorrow's workforce demands.
According to the 2023 University of Chicago To & Through report, 85% of students graduated high school in five years, and only 47% of students earned a college degree or credential within seven years.
A 2022 Manpower Group report highlighted that 75% of companies reported talent shortages and difficulty finding in- demand soft skills like creativity and problem- solving.
We invite you to join in a bold opportunity to change the trajectory of Chicago's future leaders. Your participation will make this a reality.
